Grace Thompson - "The message that I'm trying to get across in my artwork is rich people have the privilege to give and relate to poorer people. Then on the back side the message is that people everywhere are looking or seeing technology, and all the good and bad things it has to offer. I think these are both very important messages to share. My thought process on this was getting ideas across that were very popular here in our world. Things that people would recognize. Some artistic stradegies that I used in my artwork are nondescriptive text, cultural blending, and layering."
Tate Schissel - "The topic for the privilege unit I am going to do is free education. The three images that I used are a graduation hat, a money sign that had a slash through the middle of it, and a DHS flag. The artistic strategies I am going to use are non-descriptive text and juxtaposition. The media I used were sharpie, colored pencil, pastel, and ink."
Noah Lovelace - "My artwork is about home, and it is about what different people call home. The privilege of it is that here everyone is lucky because we have actual houses to live in, and in other places, people barely have any money, so they can barely have a house. People should be thinking about how lucky they are before they move to a big mansion and think about how others barely have a house. I will be using hatching with my pen, solvent with my pastels, and watercolors with under paint. I will be using juxtaposition because I will put a cardboard house and a real house next to each other."
